A written investment policy
Your targets, your ranges, and the rules we follow, on paper, so decisions aren't made on the fly.
Our approach
We don't try to predict markets, and we don't think anyone can do it reliably. We build portfolios the way the evidence suggests: own a broad slice of the world's companies and bonds, keep costs and taxes low, and stay disciplined when the news is loud. The plan decides how much risk you take, not the headlines.
How we invest
Global stocks and bonds through diversified, low-cost funds, so no single company, sector, or country dominates the result. Diversification reduces risk; it doesn’t eliminate it.
Fund expenses, trading, and turnover all come out of your return. We watch them, and we place holdings in the accounts where they're taxed least.
Targets, not opinions. When an allocation drifts, we bring it back, using new cash and withdrawals first to limit taxes.
The portfolio exists to fund the plan. Your timeline, income needs, and the business set the risk, and we revisit it as they change.
What you get
Your targets, your ranges, and the rules we follow, on paper, so decisions aren't made on the fly.
Taxable, IRA, Roth, trust, and the company plan, managed as one portfolio rather than five.
Mostly low-cost, diversified exchange-traded funds. Individual bonds, held to maturity, where a ladder fits the plan.
Asset location, tax-loss harvesting, and care with when gains are taken, coordinated with your CPA.
Ongoing oversight, with trades when the plan calls for them and not because the market is noisy.

Custody
Your money stays at Charles Schwab, in accounts titled to you. Belmont has authority to manage the accounts and to deduct its fee, nothing more. Schwab sends you its own statements and confirmations, so you see every holding and every transaction independently of us.
What we don't do: time the market, pick stocks for the core portfolio, use proprietary products, or earn commissions on anything we buy for you.
