The other half

## Documents are half the job

Your attorney drafts the will and the trust. The other half is making the accounts, titles, and beneficiary designations match what the documents say, and keeping them matched as life changes. That's the half we own, and it's the half that usually goes wrong.

What we handle

## Six things we keep in line

### Titling and beneficiaries

Every account and every designation, reviewed against the plan. Beneficiary forms override wills more often than people think.

### Trust funding

A trust that was signed but never funded does nothing for the assets left outside it. We move the assets that belong in it and keep the list current.

### Gifting strategy

Annual gifts, education funding, and larger lifetime transfers, planned with the tax and the family dynamics in mind.

### The next generation

Meetings with your children or grandchildren, when you're ready, so the plan isn't a surprise and the money isn't a shock.

### Charitable legacy

Donor-advised funds, gifts of appreciated assets, and bequests, matched to what you care about and what the tax code rewards.

### Business succession

A family business adds entity documents, buy-sell agreements, and a question of who runs it. We coordinate the pieces.

Working with your attorney

## How it works in practice

1. 1

   ### We map what you have

Every account, title, policy, and designation on one page, next to what the documents say should happen.
2. 2

   ### Your attorney drafts or updates

We send the map and the questions. If documents need to change, your attorney changes them. If you don't have one, we'll introduce you.
3. 3

   ### We make the accounts match

Retitling, beneficiary updates, trust funding, and a checklist we revisit every year and after every life change.

Legacy

## Preparing the people, not just the paperwork

A plan only works if the people receiving the money are ready for it. When you want us to, we'll meet your children or grandchildren, explain how the plan works, and help them build their own. The goal is a family that understands the plan, not one that discovers it.

Revisit the plan after a marriage, a divorce, a birth, a death, a move to another state, the sale of a business, or a change in the tax law. We'll raise it when we see one of these coming.

Common questions

## What families in St. Louis ask about estate planning

Do you draft wills or trusts?

No. Your attorney drafts the documents. We make sure the accounts, titles, and beneficiary designations match what the documents say, and we keep them matched as life changes.

Do I need a trust, or is a will enough?

Not everyone does. It depends on what you own, how it's titled, who you want to protect, and how much privacy and control you want. We'll walk through it, and if a trust makes sense, we'll work with your attorney on it.

Will you work with my children?

Yes, when you’re ready. Many families ask us to meet the next generation, explain the plan, and help them understand what it means for them. A transfer works better when the people receiving it are prepared.

Next step

## Start with a conversation

Bring your documents if you have them, or just the questions. We’ll tell you plainly what a review would cover, and what it would cost.
